TomWood
So people know, I have just been in an accident with our golf. I hit the centre median head on at about 70km/h and am currently in the hospital getting checked out. I am a little sore but ok, the car may be a write off though. Just want to let people know first hand.

TRUXterra
Glad you're ok. Metal & plastic can be replaced. It was a really greasy night last night. I went to visit some people for 45 minutes. at 8:15 roads were bare. At 9:00 they were covered in heavy wet snow (about 5 cm).
TomWood
So I am still hurting a bit, lower back is sore. We got our rental car yesterday, and it is hilarious, we are now driving a fiat 500. One of the worst cars I have ever driven. At least we have wheels though. Pictures of the golf are going to be coming later today.

TomWood
Fiat is loud, gutless and annoying, but its transportation for now. Just know I will never own one lol. Here are the pics of the car, Cant open passenger door due to fender being pushed back:
Eastcoastcam
Did the airbags blow?
sar4x4
Is there now a TDI engine available for a swap into something? :ninja:
TomWood
Funny enough the airbags didnt blow, this may get fixed. Looks to be about 5000-8000 worth of damage. Although thats all body, the transmission wont shift into Reverse, 1,3 or 5th gears. Cant open the hood, so the engine may have shifted and caused problems. If the airbags went it wouldve been a total write off for sure.
Eastcoastcam
Julie is not going to want it back, is she?
TomWood
No she doesnt want it back, and honestly neither do I. The car has been a bit of a curse this winter.
TomWood
However if its fixed and we get it back, its comfortable and will be enjoyed until the day we can sell it, even if its worth much less with this accident on it.
