Went in really easy and seem to work well. yeah I think the main problem will be getting the old bushings out. any tips without a torch?

I wasn't able to figure out, until last night when it got bad enough to see half inch of movement in one of the rear leaf bushings. Got some polys on order Looks good! Of course, while you’re at it, check all suspension, steering and body bushings....

Many, many holes, side by side around the ‘bolt’. It goes very fast! Been there, done that!

SQRLPWR
Had a ton of fun driving locally in the sun over the weekend. Got to my driveway on Sunday night to a lot of steam. I guess I need a new piece of hose LOL

SQRLPWR
ha, yes it was lucky. I had a hose split on my way home from coffee too a couple of months ago, but happened in Lower Sackville. I should really invest in a host kit.
autumnwalker
How many hoses are on the little rig? May be worth a mass replace given the vintage.
SQRLPWR
About this many. ebay has many kits a available at around 60$US
SQRLPWR
Replaced one side of the creaky cracky snappy bushings. One of them just fell right out :) It's too hot to work on the other side right now.....time for an iced coffee :)
sar4x4
Replace as many bushings as you can.... And the hoses! Lol. You likely won’t regret replacing them, but you will likely regret not replacing them! And possibly at an inoportune time!

SQRLPWR
Knocked out 2 more jobs on the Zuk today, and discovered the internet lied to me.....I snapped a few drill bits trying to remove the big bushing using the internet. I guess that trick works better with less hard non-titanium and non-cobalt bits. 1st job, replaced the bushing on the passenger side....now I have a matching pair. 2nd job, took some slack out of the clutch cable. Now I can change gear without having to double clutch :)
derekmac
I must say, the Zuk is looking damn good Jay!
SQRLPWR
Thanks. Ive been trying to get out in it a lot more since the axle flip. It's weirdly more stable and pretty fun to drive at the moment. Sorry I couldn't stay at ur coffee night longer for a proper chat.
SQRLPWR
The Zuk got all muddy and it's another beautiful day out,so I decided to wash and inspect under the fender flares to see just how much rust was waiting for me. I was expecting a lot, but it doesn't look too bad. Mostly surface. So I knocked it all off and gave it a treatment of rust convertor. Since I don't give 2 hoots about how the paint looks, a layer of Tremclad finishes off the job nicely
autumnwalker
@jay I think that is the nicest looking "I don't care how it looks" Tremclad job on record
SQRLPWR
Thanks. It's a 50 yard paint job lol. I hate to go over original paint too.

SQRLPWR
Thanks Matt. Hope you're keeping well bud. Got me an LED projector light upgrade over the dim halogens. The DRL ring won't be getting hooked up as I don't like it. The main objective was better lights....or at least some light LOL These are much better! autumnwalker
Is the DRL ring hooked up in those photos or is there a different ring? I like the ring as shown!
SQRLPWR
The LED ring can be white or orange, but I chose this style because you can see the ring when it's off, as apposed to the all black style that makes the headlight disappear....which I don't like. Got to have a face :) Here's another off shot in the shade.
