oniondip
Hoping for the best for you man, but it had a bad knock on decel. When you drop the pan all will tell. Hopefully nothing serious. Might give you a chance to up displacement and stroke? Unless its already interference engine.
RobertMcC
I would ASAP, haul out the plugs, Start pouring oil down the cylinders, keep the pistons from seizing, Get to the rust before it starts pitting the sleeves and crank. JUST in case. If oil got out, water can get in..

XMan
Had all the makings of a good run but I didn't plan for enough time and could see that I'd have to leave sooner rather than later so bailed with Ron. Hope all is well when you get the pan of the FJ Ron.
TRUXterra
Rear main seal is the cause of the oil leak. Unfortunately, the knocking in the rear of the engine & the misfire is far deeper. :(
TomWood
You've been talking to Ron?
autumnwalker
Rear main seal is the cause of the oil leak. Unfortunately, the knocking in the rear of the engine & the misfire is far deeper. :( The knocking is due to zero oil in the engine. Not sure about the misfire though. TRUXterra
Oil was still showing on the stick when we towed it to the road. Even with the RMS blown out, there should still be pressure.
SQRLPWR
I wasn't going to speculate but having heard it today with fresh oil my unqualified gut feeling is...stretched timing chain + high rpms = jumped tooth (or two) causing top end interference. oh and a rear main seal. hoping it's nothing serious
