kirk
So my invision for my build is to have something for overlanding and now being on search and rescue having it setup with the equipment needed for searches. Might as well put my build on this site too. I'm calling it a mall crawler since I work in the mall so it spends most of the time there. Back in November 2012 I traded my 2010 Ford Ranger in for this 2009 Tacoma SR5 DCSB. The day I took it home It sat this way for a few months till it warmed up enough to put my cb in. Got the placement idea from TacomaWorld Fast forward to early/mid 2014 when i got in on the pro efx group buy(mirrors). September 2014 i threw on some duratracs and got the hood mounts from famous fabrication(love these mounts) I may have impulse bought a bumper as i went it to look for recovery gear. This was in January I might move them closer together, havent decided yet. Also upgraded my cb to a cobra 29 lx bt. At some point in 2014 i got my core/hurst shifter in too Light switch setup All the stuff above was in Calgary then I drove back home in Feb. Once back I replaced the rear shocks with Fox 2.0s ordered a ProComp 3" lift with AAL got all that installed eventually and went to town with a bottle or two of plastidip and did my rims, grill, badges.20150509_161002 by k.strong89, on Flickr Now we come to the fun part which I'm just about ready to finish and thats 35s. Within the last week or two I've cut my fenders 3" and my flares 2.5". All I have left is to finish cutting one cab mount. Here how she sits as of right now, also did BHLM last weekend.20150627_211116 by k.strong89, on Flickr MODSArmourARB bumperTRD skid plateCBI Trail Rider with swingoutTrail Gear Rock Sliders(welded on)SuspensionPro Comp ES6000 3"Rear - Fox 2.0AALLightingLED pods as ditchlightsKC DaylightersLED pods as backup lightsOn Board Air rocker switchesCommunicationCObra 29 LX BT CB4' firestick 2 antenna/103" whipFRS radiosWheels/Tire315/75/16 DuratracsBlack PlastiDiped rims1.25" wheel spacersPerformanceCore/Hurst short throw shifterStickersSnorkelOtherDiff breather modBHLMCut fenders 3"cab mount cutExhaust cut after axlePro EFX mirrors LED/power/heatedTrasharooCustom made PackRackIronman 4x4 RTTBottle opener(ordered)Future mods4.88 gearsARB airlockersWinchRock lights...Lots of rock lightsroof racklightbar14 Bolt rearChevy 63s

orourked
That rear set up is sick! You should have kept the 35's on Hinglelys rims lol
kirk
Different bolt pattern. Those jugs really take up a lot of room in the back..hard to see over them.
TRUXterra
I really like that bumper. I've always been a fan of having a spare that is accessible without laying on your back when in the woods ;) I know that you have a box to carry it, but this leaves it open. kirk
I have the short bed tacoma so a spare 35 would be the whole bed. By the end of august ill have a pack rack made up for a RTT and shovels/axe etc
Goodie
Lol, I was looking at your thread earlier. Then went for a walk with my wife to a local shopping establishment, I said "hey look at that tire carrier" "wait a minute I recognize that truck" By the way it looks great, even better in person

kirk
Guess I've spent some more money on this beast since I last posted. Ordered rock sliders after I got my dent from the MUD run. Finally got them painted and welded on today. Also ordered and installed a snorkel way back in the end of August. kirk
Guess I should update this thing. Made a packrack for the bed of the truck It was made for the purpose of holding the rooftop tent (RTT) that I was going to order, plus have a mount for shovel/axe. When I order some maxtrax I'll mount them to the bottom of the rack. Last week(?) my RTT came in and finally got it mounted to the rack. Its from Ironman4x4 Opened up I'm now in the stage for prepping the truck for a month long trip across the states in July. Well be hitting up Blackbear Pass, then down to Moab, maybe California, and to Baja. We did a drive down to Cresent beach yesterday. I got 14.76L/100kms so that'll be fun on the wallet. Also waiting on Toyota to get my rear leafs in because they're being replaced under a recall. Hopefully it's soon because with the rack and tent my old ones are laying kinda flat and are pretty worn out. Also rode International for the first time last weekend.
