trailwalker
HI All, One of my coworkers is going to sell his 99 TJ. 4.0L V6, TAN, AUTO, 236 000 KM, hard and soft tops. He bought it new in 99, drove it a couple of years, sold it then bought it back 3 years later. He has had it for 10 of it's 13 years. It is in good shape, never been wheeled and is driven nicely. In the past little while it has had a new rad, battery, gas tank skid plate and 2 years ago the exhaust manifold was replaced. It does have some rust in the fenders, he patched one. I would buy this myself but don't have the money. This is not on Kijiji yet as I told him I would see if anyone here had any interest. Let me know if you are interested, but only if you are interested in buying it
TomWood
Does he have a price for it yet? That would be helpful for some people here, cause there are a couple guys looking

autumnwalker
That's about the going price for a Jeep unless it's completely destroyed or rotted out. I agree that it is high, but they seem to command a high price.
Eastcoastcam
You won't find many 4.0L TJs in good shape for for under $5000. There are a few that pop up now and then, but alot out there need alot of work to get MVIed and road ready.
97 cherokee
4500 is a steal for something that hasn't been beaten in the woods yet would be a great builder for sure I would pick it up if I was in the market

mrjoecanadian
That's what I was thinking Scott, spend 4500 or 24500. Oh I would still get the new jeep even if it was $40,
BlackPrintz
A bare bones Wrangler Sport S will run $25,290 plus tax or a Rubicon with 0 options is $32,490 plus tax. Financing through the dealer will cost $404/month (plus tax) for 8 years for the Rubi. http://www.jeep.ca/en/wrangler/overview
RobertMcC
If I was gonna buy a offroad rig, I rather pay 5K for the jeep. Then I wouldn't be worrying about having a new vech, smashing it, or breaking it and decreasing the resale value of it. New vechs your like sweet warranty etc, but most time warranty is voided when offroading is found same goes with Insurance, So why waste 25K for something 5K will do well. mrjoecanadian
Yea I am either getting a bran new jeep or a sports car in 4 years once my alimony payments are done. Or both!
BlackPrintz
I looked at this again and realized that the HST alone on a Rubicon is more than the asking price of the TJ. That's just weird.
