liltoy
Did you make the shaft? How? From existing shaft(s) or from scratch? Either or I say
90bronco
why did you have to clock it back because of the floor or the shifter?
Geezer
There's a countershaft nut on the 205 that came inline with the 1356 case when I had it clocked straight up.
Geezer
Worked on the doubler some more.Got the plate finished and Clarence worked on the filler plate.I started making a support crossmember for the rear of the doubler and Everett and Clarence mounted the bushings for it on the frame. Geezer
I picked up the modified shift rails today and will get them finished this week.Everett ordered new seals for the 205 so we'll be able to do a final assembly by next weekend.Once the doubler is complete we'll make the driveshafts and install the exhaust. Then the floor can be put in and the seats mounted.A few hundred small things and she's ready for a test drive. 90bronco
that thing looks heavy lol , too bad you couldn't have used the both 1356's .
Lil'monster
looks good but is he going to trim off the corners of the adapter plate
Geezer
The 205 weighs 120 lbs so yeah it's heavy. Not to worried about trimming the plate as it is not in the way.
90bronco
Trim it an lose some weight ,unless your not worried about being too heavy.
Geezer
Have to take it apart to trim and the couple hours of work isn't worth a 1/2 lb gain in a rig that is going to weigh in north of 4500lbs.When we tear it down in the fall to transplant the running gear we'll trim in really nice and purdy . Geezer
Worked on Everett's rig tonite as he has commitments for tomorrow night. We got the exhaust completed and I made a support bracket for the rear transfer case.Used the muffler that Everett won at Valley Crawl 2009(thanks CVO)and even made a snazzy turn down.Added some heat wrap in the tranny area and called it done. Geezer
Had a good day working on Everett's rig today,Started putting the rest of the interior cage in.This will form the center console, dash and the seat mounts. Then I mounted the drivers seat and Everett tried it out .Gotta moved the orbital mount over a little but he says that it is quite comfy. Also got the rear driveshaft done and the front one is almost done.
90bronco
Cool ,putting some heavier metal over the outputs, i have visions of u-joint parts coming threw the floor . Everett looks like he's having fun just sitting in it hehehe
Geezer
The outputs are inside the cage and surrounded by the floor metal. It's no different than most buggies and I see no reason to add any extra material.
liltoy
Lookin good. You puttin lovers over the exhaust to open on cold days?
Geezer
Clarence came over tonite and helped Everett and I with the truggy. He worked on the passenger side seat mounts while I finished the drivers mounts. Everett rerouted the tranny lines and then moved the steering column mount over.

Geezer
We've been working on Everett's rig alot but I haven't been posting any pictures(too busy/too lazy).Rads all installed and all the welding has been completed.Brakes are finished and steering ram brackets are done. All the seat belt tabs are in and Everett made the dash panel.I got some pics of the transfer case shifters that I'm working on. Made this bracket on the rear of the transfer case to use as a pivot for the shifters. Then made these to go on the shift rails. Everett decided to go with a 4 link.Heres one of the links with a comparasion to a 3/4 inch rachet for size. OK ,I thought it was funny when I was taking the pics.Anyway that is one of the shift linkage rods.Used a couple of 1 1/8" wrenchs as shifter handles. Still gotta make the doubler shifter and then mount the transmission shifter.Hope to start putting in the floor on Sat.
