Its a good start for sure!
-
So it begins, should be a good build up, cant wait for some more updates and pics!
-
We could run ellerhouse again lol. That usually takes a little longer :) Although Joshua Slocum will be a good one.
-
We did the muddy myra and pipeline in about 6-8 hours when I was there, might be more now that there is snow.
-
There was one on the south mountain but it is gated now I believe, I really didn't do much wheeling till I came up in the city.
-
There are quite a few, I think at the last meeting we had 17ish people, normally around 10 rigs per run, a lot of times more. Its all good fun!
-
Welcome! I used to work over in Centreville and lived close by there, grew up in Coldbrook though. Hope you can make it out on a run sometime, maybe even come up to the city for an adventure lol. Truck looks good!
-
Would be awesome to see you up here and wheeling again Pat!
-
Wouldnt the VW be CV and not axles? Same with the front of the liberty but the rear of the liberty was a little different.
-
Much easier than the rear of the liberty lol, well not really, we just didnt have a proper socket until Guy was awesome and got one :)
-
Auto club is open 4:30 to 10 through the week, and 10am to 6pm on the weekends :) Also they just had two brand new lifts installed
-
Good to hear it will be back on th road again!
-
Dont we all need to win it lol
-
Yeah its true on whether or not to upgrade, budget also plays a big part in it, but the thing is, get it up and running as cheaply as possible (Without cutting corners) and then start shopping for the upgrade. I would kill to have a D30HP under the front of the libby, but thats for another day :)
-
Thats handy equipment to have, may have to start getting spare parts collection built up lol.
-
Well put James, I agree the cost of the RCV's is definitely worth the piece of mind, if I am keeping IFS I would pick up a set so that I knew if anything happened I would be able to have them replaced without worry. If I could break them.
-
Lol good call James!
-
Know the feeling, if I didn't love mine it woulda been gone long ago. Funny how that happens. RCV axles will do you good!
-
Cheapest one I found was 299, plus kinda hard to just pull that much money out and drop on parts nowadays. Especially where it might not just be the shaft to replace.

Its a pretty damn excuse, how goes the hunt for an axle?
-
Good job Scott!
-
Dont you let them call your rover a toy! Good ol land rovers.
-
Nice, that will do you wonders off-roading!
-
Nice, just run it 2wd with the beasty rear for a bit, also as you build up you go more insane, Im sure youll have some good attempts at breaking that rear lol
