Oh my, even a 'stock doable' run will likely be interesting in these snow-melt conditions!  I may just show up, and see if there is a ride available.  I don't plan on wheelin' the Ranger (yet).

The Burb is still on hiatus.  But with this spring weather, some wrenchin' is happening!

Did some work on the Scout on the weekend.  Cut the 'Show Bar' (as International called it) some more so that the back seat will fold properly.  Haven't re-checked function yet.

Painted half of the Grille Guard for the Scout.  Have to flip it to paint the other half.  Had hoped to do it today, but that didn't work out.

And received some gaskets from 'Super Scout Specialists', in the mail.  Simple.  Now the side marker light lenses and housings are all fixed up properly and ready for re-installation.

Had the headlights re-aimed on the Ranger.  The Levelling Kit Installation Instructions did not mention re-aiming the headlights.  (Shake head...)  They were pointing skyward! They are good now!

Also had the first maintenance performed on the Ranger.  Good to keep on truckin'!  Waiting impatiently for the BackRack, red tow hooks, hmm..

It's a 2019, and iirc it's Hot/Red Pepper.  This colour is not available for 2020, otherwise I would have custom ordered a 2020 vehicle with the accessory package(s) I wanted.  There are/were several trucks this colour on the lots around, but few-to-none even close to having the packages I wanted.  As well, I didn't get to assess one or more packages on any vehicle in any lot, so I would have been ordering blind on some of those!

But I'm REALLY REALLY HAPPY with my decision, the packages it came with I'm happy with, and I've tweaked some things.

One example:  I wanted a factory spray-in bed liner.  This truck came with a 12v port in the bed, with a drop-in liner.  The factory doesn't offer the 12v port with the spray-in liner.  I gave the dealer the drop-in liner and they had a spray-in liner installed, they just taped off the 12v port.   No charge to me.  So now I have the best of both worlds.....

That is awesome!

My RAM was similar. They didn't have the exact option combination I wanted and this truck has some stuff that I didn't think I wanted at the time, but I like the options that are on it now and I got a hell of a deal because of end of season lot clear out.

oh yeah, that hard top is nice 🙂 I prefer it over the rag top

So do I, the timing wasn't right before to swap.  It still needs to be clamped down, and the interior panels put back inside.

There's one other noticeable change almost finished... no pics yet...  🤪

Put the factory ‘summer’ A-T tires and rims on yesterday for the first time since when I test drove the Ranger before ‘buying’ it.  What a big difference in looks!

Okay, okay, pics to follow shortly..🤪

Push bar looks good!

I mounted some LED ‘cube’ lights on the push bar, and will wire them in as DRLs, with an override switch so I can also start or drive the truck without them.

I like multiple functionality..

Nice! My Jeep came with a Superchips programmer that allows me to change the DRL function and even disable. The PO had them disabled for some reason (I think because it has HID's) ... I had to re-enable for safety. Seems to work fine with the HIDs so I've left them on.

Another little perk added to the Grille Guard.  Hard top all bolted down, interior liners all cleaned and repaired, rear diff cover off for painting, fluid change and Lube Locker gasket installation.

Got some mild house maintenance to do as well, but have lots of time in the near future!

Saved an $80 delivery charge the other day, it was a beautiful day for a drive to the valley!  Shows the summer rims.  Tires will be okay for street/dirt road.  Mud not so much!

Picked up a pair of small ‘detail’ parts at PA the other day for the Scout.  Will post pics once installed.

Also picked up a tow bar w/shackle and a recovery strap, and stored them in the Ranger.  Overdue.  4WD ‘truck’ is not much good if ya can’t at least tug something out of a ditch, up a wet grassy lawn at the cottage, etc.  👍
