Worked in the garage Saturday for 4 hours.  Had/Have to straighten the front bumper to get the Grille Guard on.  Almost ready to install.

My helper pulled some parts off and painted them on Sunday.  Pics follow!

Again, it looks way better in person, there are reflections on the chrome and lettering in the photo.  I never noticed until I posted them!

The red lettering is super, and really makes the text pop!  It was just chrome before.

More similar work to be done, as well as a lot of wrenchin'!

Nice finishing touches. Are they NOS or repos?

Original on the truck.  Just popped them off and painted. ('Just' popped them off.  LOL  While my head was in the foot wells (for the IH emblems), feet on the garage floor, my back like  a pretzel, one hand stuck behind the kick panel....)

'SSS' lists used ones at $56US each, and repro look-alike stickers for very little $.  But my Scout was well 'restored' when I purchased it.  Just needs  some 'sprucing up'.  🙂

They look much better in person...  the lighting and camera caught some corrosion imperfections in the old chrome.

They are called 'Man on a tractor' logos...............  Just have to use a bit of imagination.  It's an 'i' and an 'H' of course.  For 'International Harvester'.

The current 'International Harvester' logo/symbol is 'looking along a long highway', for their 'Over the Road' highway tractors.

The Scout looks really good @sar4x4!

Thanks, and just decided shortly ago to make a change sooner rather than later that wasn't going to happen till months from now.

Pics to follow later this morning.

And my new-found helper is working out really well, they can wrench and have great ideas!

Had to take the roll bar off to modify it so that the rear seat will fold up properly.

Had to take the soft top off to take the roll bar out.

Now that the soft top is off, might as well put the hard top on.  Hasn’t been on since I’ve bought the truck!

It will finally look like a Scout again!  And be more secure, warmer, etc etc and easy to switch back and forth.

The diff cover was a little side project.  My new helper cleaned it up and I sprayed it.  Originally took it off to change the fluid, and while doing so, installing Lube Locker gaskets...

Drool! lol  Though I am not a big fan of the SS2.  However, I've made a 'few' models in my younger years!  I liked the ERTL(?) brand, quite difficult at times!

BTW spent several hours there yesterday (and didn't even have to miss watching the Daytona 500, lol).  Making lots of progress, though not always readily visible!

I will post a couple pics now and again.

I even had lots of 2020 calendars.  So I turned the one from Super Scout Specialists into my Scout stuff log.  (That's my OCD Paul! lol)

Pics to follow!

Score! You're going to have Ford install it vs. DIY?

Yes.  They have better tools and a better garage.  And it’s a lease.

i only tear down my old sh*t when i can afford (time wise) to leave it unfinished for days/weeks/months even!

Levelling kit installed.  I LOVE LOVE  it.

I don’t really have a before and after pic taken in the same location, but I will post pics!  I have one parked next to a ‘One Fiddy’.

I have to check the aim of my headlights. They said they were going to do it but nothing is mentioned on the work order.  And they certainly weren’t too low last night...

They put the new shocks on the back that came with the kit.  I will investigate, but I may switch those back to the original FX4 ones.  The FX4 ones look better and are probably a better shock anyway.  I don’t know why new ones were included..

Spring is here!!!
