So, while looking for parts on amazon, rock auto, tdot performance , I stumbled onto parts monkey .ca so I ordered my clutch kit from them, had a smoking deal on heavy duty clutch kit which specifies upped horse power(not this truck) and or abusive use with towing, off roading . definately applies and ordered a new flywheel at the same time.. So have that coming, hopefully it doesn't take too long, also ordered a new rad support for this gas truck. Its $190 CDN,  can't go wrong with that price.

I was thinking the same thing.  I’ve used all of the other three mentioned.  I’ve had great luck with Amazon and RA.  TDot I wasn’t overly impressed with, but they tried hard to correct things, so I will give them another try when they have the right price.

Looks a ton better! Loving the progress. You'll have to give us an update on partsmonkey.ca - I have not heard of them before.

I've used them a 3 times.....the first 2 orders were great, the 3rd wasn't fulfilled and they left me hanging with no notification whilst I patiently waited for a delivery that was never going to happen. When I called them they said they were never going to send the order.

That being said, it was Xterra parts so I'd imagine more common parts shouldn't be an issue. I just didn't like how they handled my 3rd order, but I'd use them again in a pinch.

Did they at least refund you?

Iv used tdot for some of my go fast parts in the past, I like them, quick and easy to deal with and will work with you if something isnt right, parts monkey has e mailed me and informed part of my order isnt available, so they found the same part , different brand , price is more, but sending it for the original price.I'm  Happy with that.

I was in Fredericton on Tuesday, so I stopped at an old haunt - 4WheelParts.  I've always had great luck with them.  With 96 stores continent-wide, they have INCREDIBLE buying power / prices.

I noticed they had some Lube Locker diff gaskets on the wall. So I got 2 Dana 44, and 1 Dana 60.  No GM 14Bolt in stock.  They had lots of synthetic rope shackles on the shelf, and MANY MANY other things.  I was in a hurry, and realized I should have had a list ready....  I have lists for many other things and suppliers, but I had let them slip off my radar.  I won't do that again!

Having said that, they seem to/might concentrate on bigger selling items.  I've bought quite a few parts for my bro's 2008 Cummins... (Over 400k kms at the moment!) Getting a specialty part for a '79 Scout from an obscure supplier, not so much.

And like I've mentioned before, I've used TDot, Amazon.ca, RA of course, and many many many specialty suppliers like Off Road Design (mostly GM square-body specialist), Super Scout Specialists and IH Parts America (both Scout specialists), and not to forget LMC Truck (CDN prices shown including delivery and any customs!) And a few others.  Including Back Country Binders (Scout), and Blue Torch Fab.

I've been buying for a few decades................

Have we ever covered the length of this truck? Are you able to do a 3-point turn in a parking lot? lol

A buddy of mine picked up a couple of extended cab, long bed F350's from auction as ex-CN rail trucks. We had to take up two spots (length) and could not make a full u-turn in the parking lot of the Ship Victory - actually had to 3-point our way out after lunch.

Haha, I dont know how it will do  turning at this point, iv never driven this truck yet. Its not much longer than the ol red/white ford tom has, and it seems ok to turn

New used springs, new spring bushings, new u bolts, new shock mounts, new shocks, new rear spring shackle and perch,  rebuilding 100% of the brakes, but at a stand still, ended up with 2 short driver side park brake cables. Also have to see if I have a good park brake lever piviot in a parts truck.IMG_20190821_185525.thumb.jpg.961c551bd53b4ad95fea611f178570e6.jpg

So ford doesn't have the parts I needed, but , I have built new piviot bolts, the ford piviot bushings worked on the new bolt, so passenger side rear brakes 100% done and new,  onto the driver side, this has to be world record for longest brake job performed. First thing in the am I'll be tearing the driver side apart. Its dark now, and the musquiotos are lifting me off the ground
