Nightpath
Bought a replacement D35 on the cheap with mostly new parts in it. Was taking the brakes apart when I noticed it had ABS. I removed the sensors since they were toast and started to clean things up. I have some of the hardware in my collection (new) to put on, but I noticed that the wheel cylinders had different part numbers for ABS and non-ABS. Since I'm not using the ABS I take it I should be replacing them with the non-ABS wheel cylinders. Is there anything else I should be aware of when removing the ABS components? sar4x4
Something to check - although I bet you can't use a non-ABS wheel cylinder with some ABS, I wouldn't be surprised if you can use an ABS-compatible wheel cylinder without ABS. Just think of when the ABS doesn't work. Just something to check.
sar4x4
I'm thinking wheel cylinder rubbers, etc. Then again, it may be a different size to get a tone ring around it or something.
Nightpath
The cylinders that were in it were leaking so I'll be replacing them. I'll get the non abs versions
TomWood
What he is saying is the non abs may not fit/work in an ABS rear. Something to check before buying them.
