SQRLPWR
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out today for another awesome Backcountry4x4 Club run. Unfortunately Ron went over some ice which broke to land him in some deep water. He left his engine on and it took on a lot of water. Hopefully we'll hear some good news about Ron's Jeep soon! Matt was out in my old Xterra and it was really cool to see Matt giving it good workout Michael and Matt both attempted the infamous culvert, but it was too icy to get through it without some winching. Looks like I missed a good one It was a good run, and I'm trying to uphold the rescue unit title haha. I rescued the Suzuki xl7 that went in to rescue the V8 Cherokee. Then I rescued the V8 Cherokee. Got to winch em both out. Didn't have enough tools to remove the cable from a jeeps broken down winch, the drum was locked solid and screw was positioned where a Allen key couldn't reach , but assisted in wrapping cable on front of jeep. Was an anchor for Jays zuki when he planted. Loaned a few tools and pieces of recovery equipment out and received all back. The Xterra is working good, can't wait to get the locker in it and see what it will really do. Only damage I received is I drive over the snorkel hat, it bumped a tree and knocked off and fell under the tire KRUNCH lol. My buddies Cherokee had rear bumper clearance issues right off the bat, so loaned a ratchet strap and secured up. He also lost a headlight and bent a control arm mount on the front axle housing. Glad your truck was there, I don't think the Nissan would tow anything with a strap, it is a bit lacking in the power department. I wasn't even sure if it would winch the Jeep and zuki out, it only has a 5000lb winch on it.
