sar4x4
What are you going to do with your time once it's failed in? Lol. I'm doing minor house renos. Not my favourite, but all good, as they say. I'd never drilled holes in a house foundation sill board before!
SQRLPWR
well....LOL I started channeling my bumper to slot the winch mount in
TomWood
Shes been quite the build and is looking good Jay! Was awesome wheeling with it the few times, thing works amazing
SQRLPWR
it's a fun rig for sure....thanks ! it probably doesn't need the winch TBH - but I want it there just in case I go exploring on my own
sar4x4
To me an off-road rig around here isn't complete unless it has a winch.
SQRLPWR
got a lil more done at lunch
SQRLPWR
a little more 'progress' just need to make the holes, bolt it all on and make a support bracket to tie the bumper into the frame some more
Jawritch
I'm so jealous how quickly you make progress on your rigs Jay.

SQRLPWR
Forgot to say, I traded some leftover X IFS parts for some $$ and these 8 inch rims

Jawritch
Those should look awesome! I prefer black rims myself. If you end up selling the chromeys I'd throw some cash your way. They'd look nice on the dodge
SQRLPWR
Yeah, I prefer black too. Dave almost had a heart attack when I suggested I was gonna paint the chrome ones black, so I didn't LOL. I've no real plans for the black ones tho. It was a good deal, and I needed to move the last of the X out of the garage. I'll keep them as spares for now.
Jawritch
Fair enough, and of course he did haha. I suppose you still need to check the chrome ones for bends too
sar4x4
Keep them as spares. Maybe you'll end up with another set of tries you can use for different terrain conditions, like me! Or, over the months / years, you may prefer the black on the truck for a while. I turned my RWL tires inward a couple years ago (the ATs). I like the black sidewall look better on a trail rig, the RWLs look okay on the Scout! For now!
SQRLPWR
Holes done and re-painted. Just need some grade 8 fasteners and to make the extra support brackets. I might put a front to back cross brace inside the sq. tube to help stop the front and rear walls from collapsing in on themselves.

SQRLPWR
Need to make some bumper to frame brackets and tidy up the wiring, but the winch is on Getting the bolts lined up fought me all the way....so it's never coming off!! Now it's a proper 4x4 LOL
SQRLPWR
Made a couple of straps from the steel off the winch mount, to tie the bumper into the frame. Enlarged the existing holes to 1/2 inch for bigger bolts. I might weld it all up...IDK yet.
SQRLPWR
Brackets are in with 1/2 and 5/8in bolts....winch is done and works awesome
SQRLPWR
I had to re-wire the spot lights as the wires got mashed up when I was installing the winch plate. Installed the new to me OEM door cards - no more rattles from the diamond plate It's never gonna be perfect, but I like it Chad gave me some window winders as mine were broken, and window winder trims as they were missing. Now some poser shots

SQRLPWR
yeah, that's what I'm discovering. I might have to chop it up and put it in the back of the Zuk to weigh it in for a few bucks. So sad.
