SQRLPWR
Took a nice ride to Kennys U Pick - Zuk drives soo nice now The front seats in the Zuk are not original. They are all electric leather, with Mercedes logos all over the motors. I couldn't get the forward / backward motors to work, and I don't want electric, so it's time swap them out! I found these that came out of a wrecked Hyundai Accent. The little Hyundai was probably a 2011 and was pristine inside, and so are the seats albeit a little dirty I cut some 3 inch square tube for mounts, then pulled one of the Merc seats...wow it's heavy!! Here's how it looks mocked up!
flibby
That thing is looking awesome, the flex on that double shackle was down right scary!
SQRLPWR
Thanks! Yeah, it took a lil' concentration to drive before LOL Feels pretty good to get some of these jobs knocked off the list
SQRLPWR
The Zuk has a Cherry bomb that ended at the driver. So I extended it with a piece of pipe, and the extension sheared in 2 from the motor twisting on it's mounts. So I re-welded it. I guess I should get a flex pipe to help with that, but I've got no seats right now.....need bolts for the new ones
SQRLPWR
Got the passenger seat finished. Of course it took a fight - the seat belt latch wasn't working on that side, so I had to salvage a belt off the Yellow one. The Philips screws holding it into the yellow one were rusty, so that took some time to get out without damaging the plate. The screws in the grey one...OMG, they came out like butter I'm pleased with the result. Leg room is a little cramped for a 6 ft + person because I had to mount the seat a little forward in order to have clearance for a body to get between the folded down / pushed forward seat and the B pillar. But who cares - I can count on one had the number of bums that sit in my passenger seat For the drivers side, I'll swap the seat belt so the buckle matches, and the seat can go all the way back as there's no provision to move it forward like the passenger side. SQRLPWR
Ordered a Warn 8274 winch mount....why? Well, it was only $49.24 on Amazon It came in today and it's gonna need some mods to get the Superwinch on. I think I'm gonna just cut a slot section out of my bumper and slide it in there. Then brace the bumper to the frame. I think it'll look bad-*** when it's done
derekmac
It's a beast of a plate, that's for sure!

SQRLPWR
A few last minute tweaks before tomorrows MUD Run day 3.... Got the horn working with the stock steering wheel. The stock wheel is huge, ugly, plastic and very 80's....I love it LOL Re-instated my co-driver - the crocodile was PI55ED! LOL Soaked the windshield in mineral spirits in order to remove the layer of paint dust that had accumulated on it. Chopped a couple of inches off each end of the windshield soft top mount, because the soft top corners were slipping off in the wind, as the mount was too long. Topped it off with oil

SQRLPWR
Thanks. It has YJ leafs right now,and it does look a fraction taller in the front if you really look closely. Extra springs always come in handy tho
sar4x4
Topped up my fluids, beer, and the Burbs, oil and coolant and Tcase fluid. SQRLPWR
Tore down the spare rear axle to prep it for clean up and paint - and to see if I could swap out the 3rd as I've got a pinion seal leak, and probably bad bearing. I counted 41 ring teeth on the yellow 3rd - is it possible the yellow rig had 5.13's also ? @Powerram - I need to order bushings for the front shackles - can you remember what you used on them? ..I'm thinking YJ bushings. Thanks edit - I just counted the pinion 11 - 41/11 = 3.

SQRLPWR
NP bud. I would prefer to be Lincoln Locked anyways Lil' Zuk just doesn't feel like getting close to getting stuck in the holes I'm prepared to go in...clearly not trying hard enough LOL
SQRLPWR
Hard top is on. It kills me to screw into the sheet metal...but the holes were there already, so I don't feel too bad about it. Hopefully it'll keep some heat in and some moisture out. Zuk is garaged, so not too much of an issue if it's not 100% watertight...which I'm not expecting it to be IMG_20161017_183404.jpg.rsls

Jawritch
I can check my stock Jay, but I should have 2 sets of XJ shackles floating around. Just unsure of bushing condition.
SQRLPWR
I'll give u some $ for them if the bushings are good. Just let me know. Thanks
Jawritch
Here's what I got Jay, I put them in the vise and tried flexing the bushings with a long screwdriver through them and got no play. Though there's going to be more leverage with them installed. Free if their any good to you. (After thinking about it I have 3 sets of shackles, one of which you gave to me haha)
