Late last year the Zuk started to make a clicky clunky noise when steering. I wasn't able to figure out, until last night when it got bad enough to see half inch of movement in one of the rear leaf bushings.

Got some polys on order 🙂

Looks good!  Of course, while you’re at it, check all suspension, steering and body bushings....

yeah I think the main problem will be getting the old bushings out.

any tips without a torch?

Drill!  Many, many holes, side by side around the ‘bolt’.  It goes very fast!  Been there, done that!

Thanks. Everything else seems to be ok. It was just the leaf bushings are bad....you can see the leaf move, oh and its loud!! :)

Replace as many bushings as you can....  And the hoses!  Lol. You likely won’t regret replacing them, but you will likely regret not replacing them!  And possibly at an inoportune time!

so very true Eugene :)

Knocked out 2 more jobs on the Zuk today, and discovered the internet lied to me.....I snapped a few drill bits trying to remove the big bushing using the internet. I guess that trick works better with less hard non-titanium and non-cobalt bits.

1st job, replaced the bushing on the passenger side....now I have a matching pair.

2nd job, took some slack out of the clutch cable. Now I can change gear without having to double clutch :)

The Zuk got all muddy and it's another beautiful day out,so  I decided to wash and inspect under the fender flares to see just how much rust was waiting for me.

I was expecting a lot, but it doesn't look too bad. Mostly surface. So I knocked it all off and gave it a treatment of rust convertor.

Since I don't give 2 hoots about how the paint looks, a layer of Tremclad finishes off the job nicely 🙂

Thanks Matt. Hope you're keeping well bud.

Got me an LED projector light upgrade over the dim halogens. The DRL ring won't be getting hooked up as I don't like it.

The main objective was better lights....or at least some light LOL

These are much better!

The LED ring can be white or orange, but I chose this style because you can see the ring when it's off, as apposed to the all black style that makes the headlight disappear....which I don't like. Got to have a face :)

Here's another off shot in the shade.
