Man, these tires are really impressing me! Even on hard packed they grip very well. WAY better than the BFG MT's.
Jawritch
That's awesome! Really good to hear, I've been toying with the idea of getting a set aswell.

derekmac
Well I found a way to mount my light bar, and I picked up a new battery today.
SQRLPWR
Nice! And that cover looks familiar too Are u gonna run dual batteries?
derekmac
No, not going to run duals. If I didn't mount the big ammo can I probably could have fairly easily, but I'm running out of space under the hood now, lol. I charged the battery when I got home, and man, what a difference cranking it over now! Soooo much faster, and it sounds effortless now.
sar4x4
Those are NOT cheap batteries! I used to run similar batteries in my Burb but I'm going to try without them when/as they need replacing. One thing for sure, do not slow drain it dead dead dead. AGMs don't seem to like that. It won't recover. But any new battery is always good!
derekmac
It was on sale for $179 (reg $199), and I had $50 in gift cards. If I hadn't of put the winch on it, I probably would have went with a less expensive battery. The 5 year warranty on this one is nice though, and the battery I took out of the Jeep was only 3 years old.
sar4x4
Maybe there is one level higher of CT AGM model? Or the battery for my V8 is bigger! Because the most expensive AGM for me was twice that! $179 sounds great, I paid that for an Eliminator non-AGM.
derekmac
There is a higher model, the MotoMaster Ultra XD Pure Lead AGM Automotive Battery, and it starts at $349! Too rich for my blood!! LOL Their regular battery for mine was $99 or $109.
autumnwalker
last time I replaced a battery I went with the good ole Costco special - Kirkland or whatever they call them. I didn't have a winch on that rig, so not as much draw that you'd be having here.
derekmac
So the tablet mount that I had in the WJ has been sitting on my bench since I sold it, cause I couldn't find a spot to mount it where it wasn't in the way. Today I found a spot, and time will tell if it'll work out or not. It seems secure, so I think it'll be OK. I'll be using it with my GoPro, for off-road maps, and Torque. derekmac
So I've been thinking about the 2017 wish list for the Jeep... Adjustable front track bar Rear track bar bracket New stereo system (nothing fancy, just slight upgrades over stock) New front fenders, most likely these ones: http://shop.blackwidowgear.com/Jeep-TJ-YJ-Front-Tube-Fenders-DIY-tjfrontfender.htm 1.25" Body lift (tummy tuck is in the more distance plans) What it has done now Lifted 3" front, 2" rear 33" M/T's Superwinch LP8500 Auxiliary LED lights front Auxiliary LED back up lights Locker mod Tablet mount Under hood ammo can OBA Under hood ammo can storage CB Door less mirrors Rugged Ridge steering box skid plate Rock lights Homemade front BPE's Ford Windstar cowl intake Bestop cargo carrier Hmmm, maybe I should have this in my first post so it's easy to update. sar4x4
Why the adjustable track bars? I'm hiding my wish list until I install all of the parts that I already have, including rock sliders and bought-brand-new now 5 yr old rear disc conversion............. derekmac
To re-center the axles. Where it's not lifted high, they're not too bad, but they are off center.

Ahh, I guess that could very negatively affect steering geometry at the very least! High speed cornering anyone?
