TRUXterra
There is always an access, the question is...who does one have to talk to in order to get permission?
autumnwalker
There is always an access, the question is...who does one have to talk to in order to get permission? They actually might have blocked the entrance physically with the new construction.
Roy
Last time I looked, you could drive down the Rails to Trails and turn right in to the trail head. the Gate to keep large vehicles of the Rails to Trails is now just pass the trail head. That was a few weeks ago.

autumnwalker
Agreed - don't think we should be driving down a walking trail to access BnG.

That was a few weeks ago. I wonder if that was temporary during the recent construction. We need recent intellegince gaterhing! A photo! Tom? You were down there last time? I can't go look, my bro has my car the last couple of days, whilst finishing another performance upgrade on the Diesel.........
TomWood
Was going to head down yesterday but didn't get out of the shop till well after 10pm. Will try to get down to take a look today, shouldn't be too hard.
4x4Mckay
Also on my way to the DMV yesterday they have done some upgraded next to the rubber ducky in making a nice walking/biking path there.. which my guess could possibly link into the BNG trail. There is a path that can be seen on google maps of another way to get in... we just scrapped the jeep before getting to try to access it.
Eastcoastcam
Which Rubber Ducky? Bayer's Lake? The trail starts there and goes all the way through. That's what they dug up to run the water lines under.
sar4x4
Yup.. The BLT trail used to officially start in Lakeside, maybe still does, but the old rail line to it is being upgraded through Bayers Lake. It is likley all good now right from Joseph Howe Drive and how far south, well past Tantallon, all fixed up!
sar4x4
Drove by today. The construction work is not completed at the normal access point, no way to tell what it will be like eventually. The gate at the Lakeside / Coca Cola Trailhead is there again, you cannot drive down the trail anymore.

TomWood
This was discussed at coffee, we do not have an entrance to bump and grind anymore.
Eastcoastcam
:( There is a major bog to go through and a trail run and a half to get to it from the Kingswood end too... Would be interesting to try sometime with a smallish group though. Definitely all with winches and plenty of recovery gear :P ...

sar4x4
I made it with 33's, a winch, and no locker, with assistance from another well built rig, 10 yrs ago at the GAC. But it was brutal!
