RobSinclair
I think I have all the steel that I need. Does anyone have any large pieces of cardboard? I'm looking to make some templates.
TRUXterra
I can get you some, however, I won't be in the Halifax area until the 2nd or 3rd of December. If you're still in need then, let me know. In the mean time, check stores that sell fridges, stoves, etc. They usually come back with large pieces of cardboard that you could use. I've found that the cardboard for the larger appliances is thicker than most so it works really well in terms of rigidity.

RobSinclair
Iannick told me to get some cardboard and that he would come over and we would make some templates. When he arrived we decided to build some skid plates instead. I imagine we would spend hours taking measurements bending cardboard making things just right before we cut any steel. More to follow tomorrow.

RobSinclair
On all of the edges that are not bolted to the truck we are placing angled steel to provide extra support. We have made them in 3 peices so there are not very long spans between the anchor points. And at the end of the day it is 3/16s steel. :) come over and have a look if you want to Scott.
