RobertMcC
33's are the same price as 31's
TRUXterra
This all depends on the size of the rim. If you have 17's, it's not true. 315/70/17's are $30-50 more per tire compared to 285/70/17's...trust me, I've been checking for a long while. BlackPrintz
I was looking on TireRack.com and found some very interesting numbers. Every tire I looked at for off roading, the 35" was more than the 33" of the same tire. I was only looking at 17" rims because that's what I have. But something shocking, when I looked at the Goodyear MTRs: 35x 12.5x 17" was $329, a 35x 12.5x 15" was only $221, BUT a 315-70-17 was $347. All these tires are LT and the specs for the 315 are almost identical to the 35". Here's a good incentive to go back to smaller brakes and thus, a smaller rim. :king:
BlackPrintz
Just saw this on Kijiji, I'll post it in the Tire Section as well: http://novascotia.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-auto-parts-tires-tires-rims-Jeep-Tires-35-BF-Goodrich-KM2-tires-on-16-Ultra-Motorsport-rims-W0QQAdIdZ463299280

Especially for a dual purpose DD/weekend wheeler.
TomWood
Its true and its not always the brakes that prevent a smaller wheel, I need to go to offset 15" if i want to downsize because the stock jeep ones hit my tie rod end.
