  1. That's ironic, no one complained when other a$$holes tried to pull my stereo when I was in the parking lot late at night..... Lived in C. P. for 6 years, 5 attempted break ins over that time frame. $1500 in damage to the vehicle each time.
  2. I know, I tried a few combinations until one came up...it's been a slow day at work...lol
  3. probably googled "winch bait" & 4x4 and found one of your posts.... I kid, I kid. To the OP, do as Rob suggested and give us some more info in the introduction section.
  4. and deeper! Easy to eat some 31's & 33's. It rained like a mother before we did the local scouting run here back in October. Water holes were 40" deep. Still have the water mark inside the passenger's side rear door. I'll be out for the 17th, wifey has plans so I'm taken care of the kids.
  5. Nice, you should be streaming live video so that we can live the experience from home :)
  6. I'm out. Wifey is hosting an Epicure party on Sunday afternoon & I'm left tending to the kids. Also, what is up with kijiji people? Those studded winter tires 1/2 worn were bare in the centre and scalloped beyond belief on the edges. He was asking $350 for the set and they are worth $0. Luckly they were local so I didn't travel any distance, but damn.
  7. Even women like the commercials...just sayin
  8. Where it the meeting point? There are a few Wendy's/Tims out there...lol. I might be in, have a line on some 285/75/16's that are MT's & studded! Have to go look at them on Wednesday night to see how good they are and if they are ok, I should be able to get them mounted on Thurs/Fri and might be able to make the trip. Just like Scott, I'm not missing the SB!
  9. Rob, buddy, did you read my first post at all? lol. I'll forgive you this time cause it is the season for bending an elbow!
  10. Nope, some Chinese brand. When I ordered it the floor model had a B&S motor, when mine arrived, Poulan changed the supplier to another company based in China. I was pissed and Kent gave me a discount to cost ($899 to $680 something). The floor model I requested (and they wouldn't sell me when I ordered) was gone in the 3 weeks it took to get this one in. It works like a top (when properly maintained lol) so I'm happy in the end. Model is PoulanPRO PP265E27. Husqvarna owns the Poulan line btw.
  11. I only used the longer plug to clear the striped section at the top of the head by installing it from the under, or valve, side. This trick worked so that the correct plug could be installed. ETA: RobSinclair, you posted as I was typing the same thing...lol
  12. Short version of man vs. snowblower. Wednesday -> try to start snow blower, break cord. Thursday -> Replace cord, still no start (sputters & dies). Drain gas (can't recall if I stabilized it or not) still no start. Plug was firing. Friday -> Start searching for a carb kit, none available as there is a recall on my model. Speak to customer service, new carb coming free of charge and local repair shop will install, but it won't be here until Monday...not good with the storm coming. Yesterday -> pull carb off & clean it (found dirt in the jet) re-install carb and still no start + now raw fuel coming out of exhaust, spark issue, not strong enough and causing the engine to flood. Off to CT to get a new plug cause the old one was weak (3 years old). Go to install the new plug & strip the first 4 threads in the aluminum head. FU<K. Proceed to take off the head for repair. Tried installing the plug from the valve side of the head and it's too short to reach the top side :( After thinking for a bit & remembering that the Xterra takes the same NGK B series plug, I was able to grab an old Xterra plug (about 1" longer than the one for the snow blower). I threaded the plug back through the hole to clean the threads out and the longer plug threads were able to clear all the way through. Pre-install (without issue) the new plug for the snow blower and called it a night. Today -> Re-installed the head and all of the other parts (you would not believe how much crap has to be removed to even get to it). Fingers crossed I pulled the cord and the b!tch fired-up 1/2 way through the first pull. Man card approved for another year.
  13. Only problem is the new laws in NS. You have 30 days to re-inspect a vehicle after purchase unless purchased from a Used or New car dealer. RMV is not inforcing the rules, but they make you aware of this when you register a vehcile in your name. The issue comes when you try to file a claim through insurance. I literally know of one person that was denied coverage as the vehicle was not legal for the road based on the new requirements. Even if your vehicle is PLPD only, your insurance is null & void if you are at fault. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
  14. I meant before your time as in before you signed onto the board, unless you had another screen name previously?
  15. Sorry, I thought you were on the run on the 15th...Jeeps all look the same to me ;)
  16. Oh trust me, few that know of it, play in it...and we warn everyone of the pending doom. 4x4 was the only one to break the ice that day, and lots stepped out to stop it as/before it happened. NO ONE in this club would ever say "try that hole" in order to cause damage!!!
  17. Yeah, and that was in a dry spell. That would be 12"+ deeper when we ran it last weekend! That run was before your time Scott and before I had most of my mods. It was a blast to see the black smoke pouring out of RattX when he went through it (diesel) and Clarence was not a stranger to the hole in his Zuk either. 4x4Mckay was lucky (or knowledgeable) to be inside that line on the last run while breaking the ice! On the run previous to the pics the month before (I wasn't there but Dave (Xman) was) it claimed 2 jeeps due to hydro-lock...both on 33's iirc.
  18. Found them. RattX, not sure where he is now, but hope thing are good! Full size Excursion on 35's (maybe 37's) in the same hole without rain. Also pics of Clarence in teh same hole with his Zuk. Going back a bit to 2009...lol http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n585/TRUXterra/2009/?albumview=slideshow
  19. You were almost part of that club too...2' further to the left, you would have been buried. I'll have to search, but I have pics of a former member in that hole at the start of the trail. That hole you traversed drops off really, really quickly! I'll have to look for pics, but since my CPU crashed 6 months ago, I'm not sure I have the pics.
  20. lol, that was nothing. Tires or a locker would have had you clear without issue. I love hard lines but my tires are 3/4 worn so I stay away from them for the moment (to be remedied in the spring!). With the winch, I'll tackle them. As Eastcoastcam did on the recovery last night, I'd rather connect & winch than to have a pull (in some cases). Much easier on equipment.
  21. lol, I thought it would take longer for someone to notice. I sent the PM to Scott @ 11:18. Only took 2 hrs 14 mins for someone to see it. :) The one thing about mods is that it does make the rig more capable, but also more able to tackle harder trails & lines usually leading to more stucks.
  22. Can you build a bar for the H2? Might be easier & faster and work on the basket later on. If your time is like mine, not enough of it, it might take you months to get the basket done.
  23. I was thinking the same thing, but I'm an hour away. 6 PIAA 520's FTMFW :)
