Bringing it home on Sunday, can't wait. Original plans were to use it as a parts rig, however, it's alot better shape than I expected, and all intact with the exception of a missing wheel, missing one rear axle shaft, and a few missing external engine parts. Unsure of the exact plans, but forsee diesel fumes coming from it
Used to drive these back during high school. 6 cyl. GM gas, air brakes. What is called ‘Reserves’ today we called ‘Militia’ back then.

Only reason I went with advance adapters, is they offer a new factory replacement piece, for the same price that I can get one used . And the people who are selling them used seem to think there is a pot of gold hidden in them or something. So far I'm into new parts for $1800. There are a couple other new items not shown. Busy helping a friend move that sold his house, so progress will pick up on the weekend.
Hmm.......I'll think on that hahah
I kid you not - I have brand new specialty parts sitting on the shelf, for 10 years now. Not installed yet. It was fun getting them. It will be fun installing them too! lol

Wow, quite a treasure pile! Advance Adapters! I’ve never known someone to need their stuff! What a beast she will be!

Did you put it in the ditch or just "live on location"? lol
Matt may have meant he wasn’t going to work outside in the snow!

We all have lots of ideas, especially with the warmer weather now.
I hope I get something done on vehicles soon….
Off to pick some ‘blood pudding’ today…

I think you may have to post a pic of your yard in ‘Abandoned Cats of Nova Scotia’..
Lots of good posts there lately, even some Mopars.

Took a little tour in towards Renfrew yesterday. Lots of 4 wheelers, and lots of snow and ice on the woods road. We checked both ends on the Enfield -Nine Mile River side. Having the daily driver Ranger, we did NOT go in!
Next time perhaps!

Nice!
I saw a Curved-window Ramcharger today at the ‘AutoLane’ used-car dealership at the start of Cobequid Rd.

I too hope to get some work done on my rigs in the near future. Life is always busy!

Been down Andy Hayes Rd to the ‘flats’ at the bottom, fiddle head picking several times. Then took the Nissan Rogue along the old RR track. Some pinstriping. Lol.
Never crossed the brook/river before though!

Folks following this thread:
A Range Rover attempted the Exit ‘5’ to ‘5A’ trail today and it was defeated by icy conditions hidden under the fresh snow. Details in the NSORR fb site.

Also, can't get the diesel, 392 or hybrid in anything but the Unlimited models, and I don't need a 4-door anymore so I opted for the turbo.
We have a factory turbo in both the Escape and the Ranger (Ecoboost). I really like them! Reliable, powerful, great mileage. Not like my 70's and 80's series V8s!

Nice coloured rig, nice size rubber, is that a bulge in the hood? Not the 392 V8?

Nice bolsters on the seats..
Looking good!

I have Gaia GPS on my phone, so I will build and/or test the file there. I used to use MotionX, but recently moved to Gaia.

I will post a good trail for you (I hope). Can you accept a .gpx format? Or just want a screenshot?
It’s one of my favourites. Wide scenic logging road but likely snow covered atm. And on the edge of a ‘zillion’ kms of more logging roads. All within 1/2 hr of Hfx.
With cell coverage, and a safe road.- 1

Also be aware of the NSORR Facebook page.

Hmm. ‘All trails’ also lists it as 4x4. I used to know that area well enough. I’ve never been on that trail though! I tend to travel larger logging type roads, especially during our current weather and ground cover conditions. But remember, my trail rig is rather large for turning around in tight spots. My thoughts would be drive out and walk it first. If it’s narrow and downhill, you may not be able to get back out.

Hmmm. ‘Me thinks’ or ‘IIRC’ it is ‘remote’ engine air intake for water fording or dusty situations.
